8-Day Tour from Marrakech to Marrakech

In the morning, start your guided tour of Marrakech with a local guide. You will first visit the famous Koutoubia Mosque, the second largest in Morocco, then stroll through the bustling souks of the old medina.

You will then discover the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Gardens, and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Continue your visit through the old medina, walking through its charming alleyways, then proceed to the Menara Gardens, a must-see site. In the late afternoon, enjoy the nightlife animation of the famous Djemaa el-Fna square: snake charmers, musicians, storytellers... You will then be driven to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech, depart to cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m) and the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of spectacular mountain landscapes before reaching the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for international movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy.

After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate for a brief visit to the Atlas Film Studios. Finally, head towards Boumalne Dades, passing through Skoura, the city of a thousand kasbahs, where you can admire magnificent panoramas. Visit Kalaat M'Gouna, nicknamed the Valley of Roses. In the late afternoon, arrive at the Dades Gorges and visit the "Monkey Fingers" rock formations, before transferring to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, we hit the road for the Todra Gorges, a paradise for rock climbers. We continue our journey following ancient Bedouin trade routes, parallel to the Middle Atlas, crossing a succession of fortified villages with remarkable architecture. The road to Erfoud is one of the most beautiful in the south of the country. Nestled in an arid desert with red hues, Erfoud is famous for its fossil-rich black marble.

The stone is sculpted to bring the fossils into relief, adorning a multitude of objects from ashtrays to sinks. After visiting a fossil museum, we continue our route to the spectacular dunes of Merzouga, where you will be amazed by the breathtaking landscapes while crossing the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will stop at the top of the dunes to admire a breathtaking sunset, then reach our camp where you will spend the night in the heart of the desert.

Wake up to admire a spectacular sunrise over the Merzouga dunes, followed by a hearty breakfast at your desert camp. Then begin your day excursion in Merzouga. First, visit an old national car museum located in the heart of Merzouga. Then, head to Khamlia, where you will meet people of Black African descent originating from countries like Mali, Niger, and Sudan.

You will appreciate their traditional Gnawa music with African roots and discover their way of life. Next, you will visit nomad families living behind the Merzouga dunes, where you will learn about their lifestyle and have the opportunity to taste Berber pizza. Continue your exploration with a peaceful walk in the Hassi Labied oasis. If you wish, you can go on a buggy or quad excursion. Finally, you will be transferred to your Riad for the night.

After breakfast at your Riad in Merzouga, continue your excursion through the palm groves of Tafilalet, offering magnificent natural landscapes. Stop in Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and an important commercial center of the region, famous for its lively souk, particularly festive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After discovering the Rissani souks, the excursion continues through the Ziz Valley, with a stop to admire an exceptional panorama. We will then stop in Midelt for lunch, then reach the cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques, where you can take some photos. We will then reach Fes passing through Ifrane, nicknamed the "Little Switzerland of Morocco," where you will visit the Atlas Lion statue before reaching your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, you will meet your private guide for a guided tour of Fes, the first imperial city of Morocco. This UNESCO World Heritage site, founded in the 9th century, is home to the oldest university in the world. The first stop of the morning will be visiting the entrance of the largest Royal Palace in Morocco. Next, we will enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire medina from the South Tower of Fes, then visit a pottery cooperative where Moroccan tiles and mosaics are made.

We will also visit the tanneries to observe local artisans working animal hides such as goat, camel, and cow to make various leather goods like shoes, bags, belts, etc. We will explore a Madrasa (Quranic school), the Nejjarine fountain, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, and the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque-University.

You will savor a Moroccan lunch in a traditional restaurant in the medina. Then, continue your exploration of the medina and its narrow alleyways housing hundreds of merchants and artisans selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices, then drive to Borj Nord where you will see the entire medina of Fes before transferring to your accommodation, where you will spend the night.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes and head towards Chefchaouen, the Blue City of Morocco, with a stop at Volubilis, a remarkably well-preserved Roman site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will then continue our route to Meknes, one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, where you will visit the Bab Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We will then cross the Rif Mountains, admiring the magnificent landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city, explore the old medina, stroll through its whitewashed alleys, and then visit the Ras El Ma waterfall. You will then discover the Spanish Mosque before reaching your accommodation for the night.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Chefchaouen, then head towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco, enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Rabat, you will discover the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of the Udayas, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

After lunch, we will continue your journey to Casablanca. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Casablanca and visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest in Africa, famous for its stunning architecture and designs. It can accommodate up to 100,000 worshippers. Afterward, we will continue to Marrakech, where your trip will end.
